This page is created to fill in a blank in the internet concerning the Chinese Dragon Dance. I don't practise dragon dancing, but if you do and you can tell something about it in the context of this page, I'd be happy to add your info! Mail me!.
All I can say, is that this dragon (the Chinese demonstration-team from ?? have to check that) performed in a way that really impressed me. These photos were taken on March 31st, 1996, in Trooz, Belgium. My teacher asked me to join him to have a look there at the liondance tournament. Photos of that can be found here. It was a competition between the Chinese team and the Belgians. During the break, the Dragon came to life! The dragon performance was very powerful, and at one time I asked my teacher how come he'd never told me it was sush a great thing to see. He replied: "I never knew myself, I've seen the dragon dance before, in Hong Kong and Europe, but I've never seen it this great!"
